I hung out with a lovely person named Bridget, a doctor from Canada. She and I were staying at the same hostel and discovered we had both come to Thailand to escape the last three years of seeing our world change. Thanks to my getting lost and Mr. Oakly I was able to guide us to the Grand Palace and the Wat Pho. We enjoyed the beauty of each of them and I enjoyed Especially the history of Thia massage and yoga found in the temple. Here are my pictures:
The temple is considered the earliest centre for public education in Thailand, and the marble illustrations and inscriptions placed in the temple for public instructions has been recognised by UNESCO in its Memory of the World Programme. It houses a school of Thai medicine, and is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple.[8] From Wikipedia. I will later show you pics of my yoga workshop at this school.
After spending about 4 hours at the temple and the Grand Palace, we headed back and took a nap got money exchange. Next we went to Astiatique The riverfront a nice market with fun activites for the family and most importantly Disney! We had a great night!
